Basically Padlocks are the Signs of a secure site
If you go to an https site, there’s a padlock somewhere, depending on the browser you’re using. You can test this out yourself by visiting an https site. Just type Https:// before your URL address and then you can see something like this -
Green Bar
There’s also something called extended validation certificates, which some sites will use. In those cases you will actually see a green address bar with a padlock. This is also secured.
