Once you add Online Form to your website, Email Setting is where you will set your email service for sending and receiving Online Form submitted from your website visitors.
Simple Email Setup for your Online Form
1. When you add online form , by clicking "Email Setup" you will see where to add your email address.
2. You can simply add your Email Address as Sender and Recipient. Save and test submitting form on your website, the email system should work properly and you should receive 2 emails:
1) "Thank you! Your submission has been received" subject, in the inbox of website visitor you inserted while submitting form.
2) "Visitor has submitted your form" subject, in the inbox of Recipient Email you inserted in number 1. above.
3. If email is not sent; you receive email as website visitor but your admin email address doesn't receive what online from submitted, or vise versa, or BOTH are silence once form is submitted!
Please try to check if your email address is working properly by normally sending an email to your friend and let's see they can receive and reply you back.
4. If your email address is working properly but it cannot work with this Online Form. Don't panic, you can continue to the next setting to fix this.
Email Setting by Email Service your account has.
1. Navigate to Email Setting in Email tab to open Email Service setting.
2. It's mostly showing Driver : sendmail as default.
3. You are here because it doesn't work. So, let's try change it to Driver : smtp and follow the setting below.
4. You can find all data for SMTP setting to number 3 in cPanel -> Email Accounts , click "CONNECT DEVICES" for your cPanel account name.
5. Use data from Secure SSL/TLS Settings to set SMTP.
6. Insert data in Email Setting and click Save.
7. Test submitting form on your website again, the email system should work properly and you should receive 2 emails:
1) "Thank you! Your submission has been received" subject, in the inbox of website visitor you inserted while submitting form.
2) "Visitor has submitted your form" subject, in the inbox of Recipient Email you inserted in number 1. above.
8. If email is not sent; you receive email as website visitor but your admin email address doesn't receive what online from submitted, or vise versa, or BOTH are silence once form is submitted!
Please contact your host provider to allow port 465 and enable proc_open() extension by this troubleshooting.
